Biography
Mr Butler graduated from Warwick University with a BSc degree in Physics and is a qualified Chartered Accountant. In the past eight years, Chris completed his ACA training with the London practice Bright Grahame Murray and continued with the firm as an Audit Manager where he coordinated the annual audit of various AIM listed clients, ensuring compliance with statutory and legal requirements. Since joining African Petroleum in 2010, Chris has been responsible for all financial reporting obligations under the National Stock Exchange listing and petroleum cost reporting for the exploration licences held by the group. This work includes the repeated evaluation of internal controls and implementing changes as required for the rapidly expanding company.
