Biography
Dr Brian Tse is an early career researcher who was awarded his PhD from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, in 2011, for his work on developing novel forms of immunotherapy for prostate cancer. He then held a two-year post-doctoral position at the Lowy Cancer Research Centre, Sydney, studying the role of glycosylation and anti-glycan immunoglobulins in ovarian cancer biology. Dr Tse joined the APCRC-Q in August 2012, and has been working on a number of projects: Multimodal hyperbranched polymers for simultaneous imaging and drug delivery for prostate cancer theranostics, Developing a novel therapeutic strategy targeting KLK4 to inhibit prostate cancer growth and metastasis, Elucidating the molecular drivers of prostate cancer metastasis and progression to castrate-resistant disease, and Prostate cancer immunotherapy. He was recently awarded a prestigious two-year United States Department of Defence (DOD) Postdoctoral Training Award for Prostate Cancer Research (Fellowship).
