Anna Bunn
" Lecturer"
School of Law

Biography
"I have an undergraduate law degree and a Master’s degree from Oxford University, and undertook the Law Society’s Final Examination at York University. I have recently submited my PhD considering whether children should have greater control over their image online. I was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales and practised in a large commercial firm, specialising in franchising and intellectual property law. Towards the end of the 1990s I left legal practice to establish and run a not-for-profit organisation providing skills training and opportunities for street living and working youth in Indonesia. I lived in Indonesia for approximately ten years and during that time became involved in education management and university teaching. In 2008 I moved to Curtin to take up a position as a lecturer with the Curtin Law School (then the School of Business Law and Taxation)."
Research Interest
My research interests lie primarily in the areas of law, technology and privacy; torts; legal and policy issues around health; child rights and the role of law as an instrument of socio-cultural change. Current projects include: regulation of e-cigarettes (jointly with the School of Public Health); and law firms and data security issues (jointly with the School of Information Systems).
