Biography

Mark is the Head of Grant Thornton's Growth Advisory Practice in Melbourne and has more than 25 years’ experience providing commercial and strategic advisory services, with a significant focus on the Manufacturing sector. Mark has an extensive practical knowledge of the Australian manufacturing industry, with very deep automotive manufacturing skills.  Mark has provided advisory services to all the Australian vehicle assemblers, a large part of the supporting supply chain, and many support service providers including related industry associations.  Mark is actively playing a role in the diversification of this sector through the embracing of new technologies and opening up new markets. With a solid mix of financial and operational skills, Mark brings a dynamic perspective to most issues or opportunities faced by manufactures of today.  Margins today are under significant pressure, Mark and his team understand how to embrace cost downs, maximise revenue opportunities (including Government support), optimise supply chain, implement post acquisition (consolidation) benefits and develop effective and achievable strategy.
