Biography
Lou is the founder of Newport Capital Group. After starting his career with IBM where Lou managed the entire Sydney Data Centre, he spent 12 years with Computer Resources and was appointed Group CEO in 1976, managing over 300 staff. In 1979, Lou founded the Australian Technology and Computing Group which was sold to Field Engineering & Education Ltd. (UK) in 1985, and Lou moved to London as Chairman of the Group. He returned to Australia in 1987 and joined ICL as APAC Director of Marketing and Head of M&A. Lou remains deeply involved in client projects and his vision drives Newport’s development, with the goal of Newport becoming the leader in technology investment and advisory services in the Asia Pacific.
