Biography
Dr Young Jin Kim graduated from the University of Sydney with Bachelor of Medical Science degree, and medical degree with Honours from the University of New South Wales. He completed Master of Medicine from the University of Sydney with a clinical trial involving vitamin D (calcitriol). Dr Kim completed his internship and residence at the Concord Hospital in Sydney, and worked as a General Practice registrar at Grafton. He also worked at a number of other rural hospitals including Emerald, Bundaberg, Winton, and Cooktown. Dr Kim completed his dermatology training in Queensland, working at various hospitals including Greenslopes Private Hospital, Mater Hospital, Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, and Princess Alexandra Hospital. Dr Kim completed his fellowship in hair transplant in Seoul, Korea, under Dr Sung-Joo Hwang who is a well-recognised expert on hair transplant. Dr Kim has additionally published a number of journal articles, presented multiple times at various conferences, and has been an invited reviewer for a number of journals around the world. Dr. Kim is a Senior Lecturer at the School of medicine, University of Queensland. Dr Kim is also a Visiting Medical Officer at the Greenslopes and Sunnybank Private hospitals respectively with Day Surgery Theater Lists at both hospitals.
