Biography
r Mackean is a Radiation Oncologist with sub specialty expertise in prostate brachytherapy as well as special interests in radiotherapy technology, image guided and intensity modulated radiotherapy, RapidArc. He completed his undergraduate training at the University of Tasmania in 1988 and completed his specialty training in radiation oncology in 1999. Dr Mackean completed a Fellowship at Mt Vernon Hospital in London from 1999 – 2000. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists, and a member of the Australian and New Zealand Faculty of Radiation Oncology Genito-Urinary Group. He is also a member of the Australasian Brachytherapy Group. He commenced practice at the Wesley in 2000 and is available for consultation at Premion in the Wesley Medical Centre and at Premion Chermside (956 Gympie Rd, Chermside).
