She has graduation at Agronomy from the State University of Maranhão (1982), master's degree at Agronomy from Federal University of Viçosa (1988) and doctorate at Agronomy from Universidade Federal de Lavras (2003). Has experience in Genetics, focusing on Molecular Genetics and Microorganisms, acting on the following subjects: germplasm, agroforestry, fruit tree, molecular markers and genetic resources.
