Francisco Vidal Luna

Biography

Mr. Francisco Vidal Luna serves as a Professor of Faculdade de Economia e Administração da Universidade de São Paulo - USP. Mr. Luna serves as the Secretary of Economy and Planning of the State of São Paulo. He is a member of the Board of Officers of Banco Tokyo –Mitsubishi UFJ do Brasil, banking institution. He served as Superintendent of the Institute of Planning, Iplan and Ipea, of the Federal Planning Secretariat from 1985 to 1986. Mr. Luna served as Special Economic Affairs Secretary of the Federal Planning Secretariat, in the João Sayad administration; Head of the Economic Affairs Advisory Board of the Treasury Secretariat of the State of São Paulo and Executive Secretary of the Financial Coordination Board of São Paulo State in Franco Montoro administration. He served as Secretary of Planning of the City of São Paulo from 2005 to 2006. He served as the chief economic adviser of the Finance Secretariat and executive secretary of the Financial Coordination Board of the State of São Paulo from 1983 to 1985. He served as Vice-president of Banco Inter American Express SA. from 1988 to 2001 and its President from 2001 to 2002. He served as Chief Executive Officer, Vice-President and member of the Board of Directores of Banco InterAmerican Express (Former Banco SRL), banking institution. He served as Secretary of Economy and Planning for the State Government of São Paulo; Secretary of Planning for the City Government of São Paulo; Chairman of the Board of Directors of all companies controlled by the City Government of São Paulo: SP Urbanismo, SP Obras, SP Tur, SP Trans, CET Cia de Engenharia do Trânsito, Prodam – Tecnologia de Informação e Comunicação e Cia Metropolitana deHabitação de São Paulo; He served as secretary of the President´s Planning Secretariat from 1985 to 1986. He served as Secretary of Planning and Budget of the Municipality of the State of São Paulo and served at the Treasury Secretariat of the State of São Paulo and at the Ministry of Planning in the Sarney administration. He was a researcher and professor at the Institute for International Economic Research (IPE) and at the Foundation Institute of Economic Research (Fipe) until 1996. He serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Soccer Museum (Museu do Futebol); Chairman of the Board of Directors of Portuguese Language Museum (Museu da Língua Portuguesa) ; and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Africa Brazil Museum (Museu Afro Brasil). He served as Chairman of Banco Inter American Express S.A., Fundação Faria Lima – CEPAM and Chairman of the Board of Directors of SEADE – Sistema Estadual de Análise de Dados. He served as Vice Chairman and Director of Bco Nossa Caixa SA. He served as Vice Chairman of Banco Inter American Express S.A. He serves as a Director of Desenvolve São Paulo. He has been a Director of Construtora Tenda S.A. since December 19, 2014. He has been an Independent Director of Companhia de Saneamento Basico do Estado de Sao Paulo since April 2013. He serves as a Director of Sabesp. He serves as Independent Director of Gafisa S.A. He served as a Director of Companhia de Saneamento Basico do Estado de Sao Paulo since July 2007. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social (BNDES) from 1985 to 1988 and member of the Advisory Council of Sudene from 1985 to 1987. He served as a Director of CESP - Companhia Energética de São Paulo. He served as a member of the Board of Directors of Cesp – Cia Energética de São Paulo; SPDA Companhia São Paulo de Desenvolvimento e Mobilização de Ativos and Banco Nossa Caixa Desenvolvimento. He is a member of Superior Council of Economy of FIESP – Federação das Indústrias do Estado de São Paulo; member of the Economy Council and Political and Social Council of Associação Comercial de São Paulo; member of the Consulting Council of Fundação Faculdade de Medicina – FFM; member of the Curator Council of FIPE – Fundação Instituto de Pesquisas Econômicas; and member of the Curator Council of Fundação Padre Anchieta – TV Cultura. Mr. Luna holds a Doctoral Degree in Economics from Faculdade de Economia e Administração da Universidade de São Paulo - USP in 1980. Mr. Luna has an economics degree and post-graduate degree from the University of Sao Paulo.
