Biography
Jerry Johnston is the Vice President of Training & Engineering Services, reporting to Kevin Ford, President and CEO. In this capacity, Jerry is responsible for the long term sustainability of both the Training and Engineering services lines. Such sustainability is ensured through delivery excellence on current programs and thoughtful service line evolution that increases our value propositions to customers and addresses their changing needs. Both service lines are known to deliver high customer and workforce satisfaction, a combination that Jerry feels is key to organizational success. The Training Service line has been delivering services for over 20 years and today focuses on Emergency Response Preparedness Training and eLearning solutions. Calian Training's mission is to realize individual and team potential through the development and delivery of precise training solutions. The Engineering Service line is anchored by Calian's recent acquisition of Amtek Engineering Services Limited and currently delivers a range of engineering services, including project management and systems engineering. Jerry has over 35 years' experience in management, in various positions at Calian and in high tech companies in Ottawa. Jerry received both his Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Engineering from Carleton University.
