Biography
Wang Qi is an Editorial Board Member of Carbohydrate Polymers Associate Graduate Faculty in the University of Guelph Food Science Department currently working on research projects:Polysaccharide gums from agriculture products: chemical structure, functional properties , value added processing Polysaccharides and dietary fibers Development of encapsulation for bioactive substances.
Research Interest
Molecular characterisation of polysaccharides study of structure - function relationship of polysaccharides as dietary fiber texture modifiers of foods emcapsulation of bioactive substances - essential oils, probiotics, bacterial phages extraction, characterisation of novel polysaccharides from natural products.
