William Y. Tsang

Biography

Dr. William Tsang is an Assistant Professor at the Institut de recherches cliniques de Montréal. He obtained his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Alberta in 2003 under the supervision of Dr. Bernard Lemire. He then completed his post-doctoral training in the laboratory of Dr. Brian Dynlacht at New York University in 2009. Dr. Tsang currently holds a Junior 1 Research Scholar Award from the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS) and a New Investigator Award from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR). His research focuses on understanding the basic molecular mechanisms underlying the biogenesis of centrosomes and cilia and their role in human diseases such as cancer, ciliopathies and neurological disorders.Dr. William Tsang is an Assistant Professor at the Institut de recherches cliniques de Montréal.
