Biography

Mr. D. Allen Loney, FIA, FCIA served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of London Life since May 2008. Mr. Loney served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Canada Life Financial Corporation since May 2008. He served as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Canada Life Assurance Company ( a/k/a Canada Life) since May 2008. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Great-West Lifeco Inc., and The Great-West Life Assurance Company since May 2008. He served as the Chief Executive Officer and President of Canada Life Limited since 2008. He served as the Chief Actuary and Executive Vice President of Great-West Lifeco Inc. He served as a Vice-President of Capital Management of Great-West Lifeco Inc. since May 2005. Mr. Loney served as Senior Vice-President, Capital Management of Great-West and London Life from August 2004 to December 2005, Senior Vice-President, Capital Management and Actuary of CLFC and Canada Life from February 2005 to December 2005, Senior Vice-President, Capital Management and Chief Actuary of CLFC and Canada Life from August 2004 to February 2005, Senior Vice-President and Chief Actuary of CLFC and Canada Life from November 2002 to August 2004. He served as an Executive Vice-President and Chief Actuary/Capital Management of The Great-West Life Assurance Company since December 2005. He served as the Chief Actuary of Canada Life Financial Corp. and its subsidiary The Canada Life Assurance Company ("CLA") from November 6, 2002 to May 2008. He served as Chief Actuary & Capital Management at The Canada Life Assurance Company from December 2005 to May 2008. He served as an Executive Vice President of The Canada Life Assurance Company since December 2005. He served as an Executive Vice President of Canada Life Financial Corp. from December 2005 to May 2008. He served as Senior Vice President of Capital Management of The Canada Life Assurance Co. and its Vice President. He also served as Senior Vice-President of Capital Management at The Great-West Life Assurance Company. He served as Senior Vice President of Canada Life Financial Corp. and Senior Vice President of CLA since November 6, 2002. From 1998 to 2002, Mr. Loney served as Vice-President and Chief Actuary of Canada Life Financial Corp. From 1997 to 1998, he served as Vice-President and Director, U.S. Division of CLA. He serves as a Non Executive Director of Irish Life Group Limited. He served as a Member of the Board of Directors of Canadian Life and Health Insurance Association Inc. and London Reinsurance Group Inc. He served a Director of Great-West Life Capital Trust since July 30, 2008 and Life Financial Corporation at Canada Life Capital Trust since 2008. He served as a Director of Canada Life Limited. He served as a Director of The Canada Life Assurance Company since May 1, 2008 and London Life Insurance Company. He served as a Director of The Great-West Life Assurance Company and Great-West Lifeco Inc. from July 30, 2008 To May 8, 2014. Mr. Loney is a Fellow of the Canadian Institute of Actuaries, the Institute of Actuaries (UK) and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
