Biography
Dr. Desanka Polajnar joined UNBC in 1994. She came to UNBC from the Mihajlo Pupin Institute in Belgrade, Yugoslavia (now Serbia), where she led a software team developing real-time systems for urban traffic control. Her research and development experience includes projects in various areas of systems and applications software, computer architecture, information systems, and symbolic computation. Dr. D. Polajnar received her PhD in Technical Sciences from the University of Kragujevac, Serbia; her M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Southern California; and her B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Belgrade, Yugoslavia (now Serbia).
Research Interest
Her main research interests are in the area of multi-agent based software systems, including development methodologies and tools, agent teamwork, modeling, and intelligent real-time systems. Dr. D. Polajnar is a member of IEEE, the IEEE Computer Society, and FIPA.
