Biography
Dr Sun’s research is in the broad area of drug delivery system with emphasis on the development of new nanomedicine to delivery siRNA or drug to better treat tumor, fibrosis and other diseases. Current research focus is on the design of multifunctional nanoparticles and sustained release drug system based on polysaccharide derivatives with applications in the treatment of cancer and inflammatory conditions. Also, she led a group of 8-10 graduate students on research projects of nanostructure carriers for tumor targeting delivery.
