Dr Qurashi

Biography

 Dr Qurashi joined Beijing United Family Hospital as an honorary senior Hip and Knee Surgeon in 2017. He is an Australian trained and based Orthopaedic hip and knee surgeon specialising in joint replacement and knee ligament reconstruction surgery. Most notably he pioneered the micro-invasive hip replacement technique, SuperPATH, in Australia and is the first surgeon to publish on patient-based functional outcomes of this technique with excellent results. Dr. Qurashi received his medical degree from The University of Newcastle, Australia, in the year 2000 and was later awarded the fellowship by the Royal Australian College of Surgeons making him a specialist Orthopaedic Surgeon (FRACS). He then undertook a further subspecialty multi centre fellowship in Germany in joint replacement and reconstruction surgery broadening his skill base and experience in complex joint reconstructive surgery. Thereafter, Dr Qurashi commenced private practice in Sydney and founded The Hip and Knee Clinic @ Harbourcity Orthopaedics in 2011. His current Australian practice is both in the private and public sectors and comprises mainly of hip and knee arthroplasty (replacement), knee ligament reconstruction, and realignment surgery. He also has an active teaching role at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels with international fellowship programs, and academic affiliations and titles at the University of Sydney as well as the University of Notre Dame Australia. He is a key opinion leader in the field of Micro invasive hip replacement surgery and has lectured internationally on the topic. He is regularly invited to speak and train surgeons in the technique in many countries.
