Nan Gibson

Biography

Ms. Nan Gibson has been HR Director and Operations Board Director of Lidl UK GmbH since September 2016. Ms. Gibson served as Senior Vice President of People of Virgin Atlantic Airways Limited from September 22, 2015 to 2016. Ms. Gibson is responsible for the airline’s People Centre of Excellence. Ms. Gibson joined Virgin Atlantic in November 2013 as Head of ER and HR Business Partners. Ms. Gibson has held a variety of customer service and linguist roles in the travel industry working for Cunard, Air Europe and Northwest Airlines. She joined Virgin Atlantic from American Airlines where she most held the position of Director International HR – Europe and Pacific. She has worked in the airline industry since 1983. In that role, Ms. Gibson oversaw all aspects of HR across multiple geographies and supported the restructuring of Virgin Atlantic Airways Limited in 2012. She is experienced director who is "used to leading remote and multicultural teams in a fast-paced, ever-changing industry. She has a Master of Arts in German from the University of St Andrews.
