Biography
Engineer graduated from the ENS of Chemistry and Physics of Bordeaux (ENSCPB) in 1987 and holds a PhD from the University of Bordeaux 1 since 1990. After a postdoctoral training at the University of Durham, in the United Kingdom, he was recruited as assistant professor of polymer chemistry at the University of Bordeaux 1, before being appointed professor in 1999. Since 2007, Dr. Cramail is also Director of the Laboratory of Organic Polymer Chemistry (LCPO ) of Bordeaux, where he heads the research team on biopolymers and biobased polymers. His work focuses on the development of new green chemistry pathways for the production of biobased polymers from renewable resources (vegetable oils, carbohydrates, terpenes and CO2).
