The love of progress at the time of the "silent revolution" (1945-1983), under the direction of Anne-Marie Granet-Abisset, University of Grenoble. Sylvain Brunier has shown in his thesis that a neglected professional group, the agricultural advisers, played a decisive role in the formulation and implementation of the policy of modernizing French agriculture after the Second World War. He analyzed the training conditions of the advisory profession in order to better understand what might be the basis for the effectiveness of post-war economic policies, paying particular attention to territorial logics, the circulation of development models and to the construction of professional identities.
