Biography
Carole McARTHUR, MD, Ph.D., is a physician and researcher, professor at the University of Missouri in Kansas City. She has extensive experience in the academic and private sectors in the development of diagnostic systems for the detection of a wide range of substances. These range from microorganisms, fungi, protozoa, to proteins, peptides and many small therapeutic molecules including drugs and drugs such as steroids, barbiturates, amphetamines and PCP. His current research focuses on bedside diagnosis (POC) of drug resistance for HIV and tuberculosis in Africa.
