Biography
Karam Abdulahhad is currently a post-doctoral at GESIS-Cologne. He is mainly engaged in the Explore-Data Project. He has a PhD degree in computer sciences from the University Grenoble-Alpes in Grenoble-France. During his PhD, he tackled the problem of term-mismatch, which is a well-known problem in Information Retrieval (IR). He mainly used a logic-based approach to deal with this problem. He proposed a new IR model using propositional logic and lattice theory. More precisely, He adapted an idea, already published in physics, in order to be used in IR. This idea links propositional logic and probability through lattices.
