Biography
John Pierce has dedicated his career to integrating biology into chemistry, engineering and materials science to create biotechnology applications for agrochemistry, plant genetics and industrial biology. He holds a PhD from the MSU in Carbohydrate Chemistry and Enzymology. After a long period at DuPont, during which he led to the commercial success of the development of numerous biotechnological applications, until recently he was Chief Bioscientist at BP plc.
