Biography
He is study of the mechanisms of transmission, perception and cortical control of human bread, in physiological and pathological conditions. Our research is structured around 3 axes: 1. The cortical mechanisms of physiological pain and their cognitive and emotional modulation ; 2. The abnormalities of these mechanisms leading to neuropathic pain; 3. The treatment of neuropathic pain with cortical neurostimulation. Methods & Techniques Psychophysics, EEG, intracranial EEG, anatomical and functional MRI, PET. Signal and image processing, brain oscillations, source modeling, connectivity. Research projects • Imaging of neuropathic pain (R. Peyron, I Faillenot, L Garcia-Larrea, B. Laurent) • Bread / emotion / cognition interaction (F Godinho F Pomares, C. Creac'h, I Faillenot, L Garcia Larrea) • Cortical nerve stimulation for pain relief (N. André Obadia, J Maarrawi, P. Mertens, R. Peyron B Houze, M Magnin, L. Garcia-Larrea) • Electrophysiology of neuropathic pain (L. Garcia-Larrea, C, Perchet, N. Andre-Obadia, P. Convers, M. Magnin) • Intracranial electrophysiology of nociceptive networks • Pain and sleep (H Bastuji, M Magnin Perchet C, S Mazza, L Garcia-Larrea) • Animal models of neurostimulation (J Maarrawi, Kobaiter S, M MAgnin)
