Biography
Romain Levayer is head of Structure Microbiology working in the Unit of Cell Death and Epithelial Homeostasis. His research area is 2nd QBio symposium: mechanical forces in biology, Commitment to apoptosis and the orchestration of cell clearance and Competition for space in development and disease. He has published many paper such as Tissue Crowding Induces Caspase-Dependent Competition for Space, How to be in a good shape? The influence of clone morphology on cell competition, Cell mixing induced by myc is required for competitive tissue invasion and destruction, Oscillation and polarity of E-cadherin asymmetries control actomyosin flow patterns during morphogenesis and many more.
