Biography
Joanne L. Blum, M.D., Ph.D., FACP, specializes in medical oncology and hematology. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification in medical oncology. Her clinical and research interests are in the field of breast cancer and genetic counseling for breast and ovarian cancers. Dr. Blum is a member of the Breast Cancer Committee for The US Oncology Network.Dr. Blum received an M.D. from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, in 1979. She completed her internal medicine training at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan, in 1982. She did a clinical fellowship, 1982-1985, and research fellowship, 1985-1987, in hematology and oncology at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She received a Ph.D. in cellular and molecular biology from the University of Michigan, in 1987.
