Johannes M. Dietsch

Biography

He has been the Chief Financial Officer of Asia/Pacific Region at Bayer AG since 2011 and has been its Member of Management Board since October 1, 2014. Mr. Dietsch has been the Head of Finance Department at Bayer AG since 2002. He served as the Head of Finance and Administration at Bayer (China) Limited since 2011 and served as its Head of Finance of Bayer Corporate Centre/Chief Financial Officer for Greater China. He served as Senior Bayer Representative for China at Bayer AG from September 1, 2011 to September 1, 2014. Mr. Dietsch served as the Finance Director Head of Finance for Corporate Center at Bayer AG from July 1, 2002 to August 1, 2011 and was responsible for Treasury, Corporate Finance, Financial Controlling, Asset Management Pensions, Mergers & Acquisitions and Taxes. He gained several years of overseas experience during two assignments at Bayer Japan, Ltd., latter as Chief financial officer in finance and administration. He served as Head of Corporate Finance of Bayer AG since 2001 and also served as its Executive Officer. He served as Chief Financial Officer of Bayer in Japan since 1996. He served as Senior Managing Director of Bayer. He served as the Head of Capital Markets Unit (within finance department) of Bayer AG, Germany from 1991 to 1996. He joined Bayer Group as a commercial trainee. On completion of his training in 1984, he held a number of management positions in various departments within the company. He served as Deputy Chairman of Supervisory Board of Covestro AG until September 30, 2015. He has been Member of Supervisory Board at Covestro AG since August 20, 2015. Mr. Dietsch served as a Director of Bayer CropScience Limited until August 1, 2011. He served as a Director of INEOS Styrolution India Limited (formerly, Styrolution ABS (India) Limited) until February 8, 2005. He served as Representative Director of Bayer. He completed his internal training to the Master of Economics. Mr. Dietsch is a graduate of Grammar School.
