The aim of his doctorate project is to examine the life of Joseph Busnaja as a source of the everyday life in the Northern Iraq (Kurdistan) of the 10th century. At the center of this text is Josef Busnaja (+ 979), an Eastern Syrian monk, who worked in the convents Rabban Hormizd and Beth Sayyare between the present Dohuk and Amadia. The disciple and former secretary of the Saint, Johannes bar Kaldun, wrote this biography about the turn of the tenth to the eleventh century at the end of his life.
