Physicist, 1982 Dipl.-Phys., Solid-state physics and 1985 Dr. rer. nat at the University of Marburg. 1985-1991 Philips Research Laboratory Hamburg. Since 1991 Professor at Furtwangen University of Applied Sciences. Managing Director of the Institute for Applied Research and Head of the Technological Laboratory for Micro- and Nanosystems, Vice-Rector for Research at the HFU. Deputy spokesman for the cooperative doctoral program "Generation Mechanisms for Microstructures" (in cooperation with the University of Freiburg / IMTEK).
