Biography
Yunru joined 23andMe in 2017 and is mainly working on developing analytical methods to analyze large complex phenotypic and biological data. Prior to 23andMe, she worked at the Department of Pediatrics at the University of California, Davis, where she focused on designing statistical plans and conducting analyses to evaluate the impact of clinical, economic and demographic factors on pediatric patient outcomes using national, state and regional hospital databases. She has also worked at the Department of Public Health, investigating environmental risk factors of the autism spectrum disorder. Yunru earned her Ph.D. in Epidemiology and Master in Statistics from the University of California, Davis. She graduated from the Xiangya School of Medicine (Hunan Medical School) in China.
