Biography

I am a Professor of Cell Physiology and a Chair of the department of Aerospace Medicine since 2012. I graduate from Hirosaki University in 1984 and had worked as Pediatrician for 9 years at Yokohama City University. I was a postdoctoral researcher for 4.5 years at department of Medicine, University of California, San Diego. My research interest is to study the mechanisms of development of the cardiovascular system and the regulation of calcium signaling in the heart.  Award:1) Yokohama Medical Award (2003)  2) Umehara Award (Yokohama Foundation of Advanced Medical Science) (2010) 3) The 114th Japan Pediatric Society Scientific Research Award(2011) 4) Takao Award (Japanese Society of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery) (2014) I am a Professor of Cell Physiology and a Chair of the department of Aerospace Medicine since 2012.
