Biography
Dr. Asem Shalaby has received his Medical degree (1996) and Master of Science degree (2004) in Mansoura College of Medicine, Mansoura University, Egypt. Then he received his PhD degree from University College London, London, UK (2010). He did his pathology training in Mansoura University Hospitals (1998-2006). He worked as assistant professor in Mansoura college of Medicine, Egypt till 2013. Currently, he is on sabbatical working as assistant professor in College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. His research has included cancer diagnosis and pathogenesis, effect of drugs on body systems. He was awarded the State incentive Prize in medical sciences, awarded by the Egyptian Academy of Research and Technology, 2012. This is the highest prize given in Egypt for the young scientists.
