Biography
Sushma Santapuri is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Mechanics at Indian Institute of Technology Delhi since July 2016. Prior to joining IIT Delhi, Dr. Santapuri was working as a visiting scholar at University of California, Berkeley. She received her PhD in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University in 2012 and B.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology Madras in 2007.

Specialization: Solid Mechanics Area of Interest: Mathematical modeling of functional/smart/advanced materials; Electrodynamics of continua; Asymptotic theories for smart composite structures; Thermodynamics of functional materials; Rod and plate theories; Multiferroic materials and their applications.
