Biography
Dr Margaret Healy is a lecturer in the Department of Accounting, Finance and Information Systems, University College Cork.
Research Interest
His research interests are focused in two areas: Accounting Education and Management Accounting, using a variety of research methods. He is engaged in an on-going programme of research into aspects of the learning context and professional business environment, including: (1) student engagement with group work and cooperative learning; (2) investigations of student and employer views regarding professional competences and capabilities; and (3) explorating the development of professional identify amongst accounting students/ graduates. His research activity in the domain of management accounting is focused on mechanisms of organisational governance, control and evaluation. Current work is focused on the interactions between performance measurement and innovation, as viewed from the lens of structuration theory.
