Biography
Árni M. Mathiesen is a business man and he is responsible for all programmes and activities relating to the development of policies, strategies and guidelines as well as the provision of technical services to FAO members concerning management, economics and policy, information and statistics, products and industry, conservation, emergency and rehabilitation activities in the field of fisheries and aquaculture. He is also responsible for promoting and supporting the implementation of the Code of Conduct for Responsible Fisheries and its related instruments.
