Paul A. Mcelhinney

Biography

Paul is the president and chief executive officer of Power Services and a senior vice president of GE. Based in Baden, Switzerland, Power Services is a $15 billion business and a combination of two of the best service teams in the power industry – GE’s Power Generation Services and Alstom’s Thermal Services. The largest industrial services business in GE, Power Services has approximately 26,000 people in more than 150 countries. In this role, Paul is responsible for developing and delivering a global services strategy that offers power producers the technology, knowledge and insight to make better decisions across the entire lifecycle of their power generation assets. Paul has more than 28 years of operations and leadership experience. He began his GE career in GE Capital Aviation Services in Shannon, Ireland. Since then, his leadership, operationsand business skills have led to successively larger leadership roles in GE Capital, GE Aviation and GE Power. Paul was named an officer of the General Electric Company in 2004 and a senior vice president of GE in 2016. He is a member of GE’s Corporate Executive Council, as well as the company’s Services Council. He is also Executive Sponsor of the GE Veteran’s Network. Paul holds an honors degree in law from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland. He and his wife live in Switzerland and have two children.
