"Present position (from April, 2009): Permanent staff - Research Scientist National Research Council (C.N.R.) Institute of Neuroscience, Pisa. Other professional responsibilities: From June 2012: Managing Board member of the Experimental Biomedical Center, CNR Research Area (Pisa). 2009-2014: Responsible for Animal Care and Management at the animal breeding department of the Institute of Neuroscience CNR (Pisa). Membership: He is a member of the Italian Society for the Study of Animal Behaviour (SIE), of The Physiological Society of Italy (SIF), of the European Brain and Behaviour Society (EBBS), the Global Young Academy and the American Physiological Society. December 2003: qualification to the Profession of Biologist. PREVIOUS PROFESSIONAL EMPLOYEMENT: 01/10/07 – 01/03/09: Research Scientist, Laboratory of Neurobiology, Scuola Normale Superiore (Pisa, Italy). August - January 2007: Visiting Postdoctoral fellow in the laboratory directed by 2014 Medicine Nobel Prizes Prof.s Edvard and May-Britt Moser. 01/11/05 – 30/09/07 Post-doctoral research fellow with Prof. Lamberto Maffei at the Neurobiology Laboratory of the Scuola Normale Superiore (Pisa, Italy). 2 01/03 - 31/10 2005: Winner of the fellowship “Dott. In December 2001 he was admitted, through a competitive international examination, to the PhD course in Neurobiology, ranking first with an average of 9.33/10. 27/11/2002 Minor degree at the Scuola Normale Superiore, in Biological Sciences (Diploma di Licenza). The thesis was awarded full marks and cum laude. 1999-2001 He was admitted, through a competitive international examination, to the “Classe di Scienze Matematiche, Fisiche e Naturali” of the SCUOLA NORMALE SUPERIORE in Pisa, ranking first with an average of 9.50/10. 1996-2001 Undergraduate studies in Biological Sciences, Pisa University.
