Biography
Barbara Carminati is Associate Professor of Computer Science (INF / 01) at the Department of Theoretical and Applied Sciences at the University of Insubria. He obtained his degree in Information Science from the University of Milan in 2000. In 2004, he received his Ph.D. in Computer Science at the same university. Barbara Carminati has spent several periods as a guest researcher at foreign universities, including: the National University of Singapore, the University of Texas at Dallas, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Tsinghua University, Beijing.
Research Interest
Barbara Carminati's research interests are mainly related to security and privacy issues in data management systems. In this context, it has been concerned with access control and privacy for innovative applications such as cloud computing, semantic web, data outsourcing, XML sources, web services, data streams and web-based social networks
