Title of the scholarship: "Influence and role of micro-organisms in the conservation of cultural heritage". 1994-1995 Laboratory Technician , Department of Food Science and Microbiology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Milan, Italy. 1999 Doctorate in Chemistry, Biochemistry and Pesticide Ecology, University of Milan. Ph.D. Thesis: "Microbiological Indices on Degradation and Toxicity of Thiocarbamate and Sulphonylureic Herbicides". 1999-2000 Research grant , Department of Food Science and Microbiology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Milan, Italy. Microbiology of the preservation of cultural goods Biodeterioration of cultural assets and use of bacteria in biorestation and biopulse of stone materials. Environmental Biotechnologies and Microbial Ecology Biodegradation of contaminated soils, water purification, composting, degradation of herbicides, anaerobic digestion.
