Giuseppina De Santis

Biography

Born in Cosenza in 1954, he graduated in Law in 1980 at the La Sapienza University in Rome with a thesis on constitutional law on the distribution of competences between State and Regions. He has been a consultant to the Luigi Einaudi Research and Documentation Center in Turin since 1980, and has been conducting editorial, cultural, and external affairs for nearly twenty years on behalf of the association. He became Director of the Center in 2001, which he held until 2014. Numerous, over the years, consultancy activities for the Young Entrepreneurs Group of the Industrial Union of Turin, for the Rosselli Foundation, for the Institute of Methodology, for Unioncamere Piemonte, for Confindustria. Since 1999 he has been Councilor of the Province of Turin, Finance, Expropriation and European Programs. The position at the Provincial Council was also confirmed for the next legislature and until 2008, with delegations to Productive Activities, Territorial Concerto and Coordination of European Programs. From 2008 to 2012 he was a member of the Management Committee and the Company's Investment Committee of Sao Paulo. From July 2013 to June 2014 he was Board Member of F2i Sgr.   Among the research activities, he has conducted various surveys on the economic development of the Piedmontese territory, on savings and on the crisis. She is co-author of the research conducted by Giovanna Zincone  Women at Work in Italy: an Institutional Approach (1983) , commissioned by the Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs and Education of the Commission of the European Communities.
