Biography

The dr. Nicola Borbone was born in Naples on 23/02/1972. He graduated in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology at the Pharmacy Faculty of the University of Naples Federico II, bringing his 110th praise and discussing a thesis in Organic Chemistry titled "Influence of TATA box bend on stability, polarity and on binding affinity with TBP protein ", rapporteur Prof. Luciano Mayol. In 1999 he was awarded the Ph.D. in "Pharmacologically Active Natural Substances" -15th cycle of three years "at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Naples Federico II discussing the thesis titled" Isolation and structural characterization of bioactive secondary metabolites from marine and plant organisms ", During 2000, she was trained in the teaching of upper secondary education for class A / 013 "Chemical and chemical technologies". In May 2003, Dr. Nicola Borbone was the winner of a postgraduate (12th competition) biennial scholarship at the Department of Natural Chemistry at the University of Naples Federico II. On 8 February 2006 he was the winner of the competition for University Researcher, Disciplinary Sector CHIM 06-CHIMICA ORGANICA (identification code R01 / 2005), and since March 1, 2006 has been the Researcher at the Department of Pharmacy (formerly Faculty of Pharmacy) of the University of Naples Federico II. The dr. Borbone has participated in numerous national and international conferences and specialization courses where he has presented communications related to his scientific activity. During the Academic Year 2002-2003 she has been a contractor for the "Organic Chemistry Laboratory" course, a degree in Chemistry and Chemical Processes, Faculty of Physical and Natural Mathematics Sciences, Universities of Molise Studies. In the AA between 2002 and 2006, Borbone has taught teaching activities for "General and Inorganic Chemistry" of the Bachelor Degree in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology at the Pharmacy Faculty of Naples University Federico II. From the AA 2005-2006, with the sole exclusion of the AAR 2007-2008, Borbone is awarded the Supplement for the teaching of "Molecular Spectroscopic Foundations" of the degree program in Biotechnology for Health at the University of Naples Federico II. In the AA 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 Dr. Bourbon was entrusted with the teaching of General Chemistry of the Degree in Quality Control at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Naples Federico II. Starting from the AA 2010-2011 to Dr. Borbone is entrusted with the supplementation of the teaching of Chemistry of Natural Organic Substances of the Degree Course in Herbal Sciences of the University of Naples Federico II. On November 14, 2014, the dott. Borbone Nicola obtained the National Scientific Enabler as a second-tier professor for the disciplinary science sector 03 / C1 (Organic Chemistry). The dr. Borbone participated in the translation of the fourth edition of W. Brown and T. Poon's book "Introduction to Organic Chemistry" and W. Bruice's book "Elements of Organic Chemistry", both edited by EDISES - Naples.

1. isolation and structural characterization of secondary metabolites from marine organisms; 2. isolation and structural characterization of secondary metabolites from vegetable and pharmacological plant organisms; 3. structural analysis of modified oligonucleotides and nucleosides; 4. synthesis and structural characterization of quadratic helix structures (G-quadruplex) of technological and pharmacological interest; 5. synthesis and structural characterization of nucleic peptide acids of pharmacological interest.
