Biography
Pasquale Acquafredda graduated in Geological Sciences at the University of Bari on July 18, 1980. In September 1984 he took office as a researcher at Petrography at the Faculty of Science MM.FF.NN. of the University of Bari; in the same Faculty, in March 2000, he served as Associate Professor for the Petroleum and Petrographic Scientific Disciplinary Sector (GEO / 07). The teaching and research activities are carried out at the Department of Earth and Geo-Environmental Sciences at Aldo Moro University of Bari. Institutional teaching load: Petrography course for CCS in Science and Technology for Cultural Heritage. Other didactic activities: other courses, besides the institutional one, relating to GEO / 07 disciplinary grouping, in addition to the tutoring activities of individual students in the CCS of Science and Technology for Cultural Heritage and Geological Sciences as well as students of Master and Ph.D. of Research in Earth Sciences and Chemistry at the University of Bari.
Research Interest
Development and experimentation of analytical methodologies; Research on the crystalline bases of the Calabro-Peloritano arch; Research on the Quaternary evolution of the Apulian plaster in the area of ​​Lesina (FG); Study of mineral phases in intrusive and effusive magmatic systems and in sedimentary environments; Petrochemical investigations with particular reference to the characterization of lithic material, mainly Neolithic oxides, and ceramics from Neolithic and Roman age.
