Biography
After completing his degree in Political Science in Cagliari and his doctorate at the La Sapienza University in Rome, he taught at the University of Sassari. He is currently Associate Professor of History of International Relations at the Department of Social Sciences and Institutions. Coordinator of the Degree Course in Political Science, teaches History of International Relations at the Political Science and International Contemporary Political Science at the Master's Degree in International Relations. He is a member of the Doctoral School of History, Cultural Heritage and International Studies at the University of Cagliari and a founding member of the Italian Society of International History. Among his research interests, Italian foreign policy (problems and achievements of the Kingdom of Italy, foreign policy of Fascist and Republican Italy, relations with the United States and Great Britain); transatlantic and Mediterranean relations in the post-war period (integration and dialogue with the south shore, security, migration).
Research Interest
Gianluca Borzoni’s main research interests range from Italian foreign policy (issues and accomplishments of the new Italian Kingdom; Italian foreign policy during the fascist period and beyond; Italy and U.S./Italy and U.K. after the II world war), to Mediterranean relations in the XX century (The Mediterranean, European Integration and the dialogue with North Africa and the Middle East, security and migrations).
