Biography
Giovanni Signorello is an ordinary professor of the disciplinary sector AGR / 01 "Economia e Estimo rurale". He teaches "Economics of Environmental and Landscape Economics" in Master Degree in "Territory, Environment and Landscape Conservation" (LM75 class). In Aaa 2017-18 teaching will be held in English and will be the following denomination: "Valuing natural capital and ecosystem services". He is Director of the University Research Center for the Protection and Management of Natural and Agroecosystems (Cutgana). He is the scientific director of the Environmental Assessment Laboratory (Envalab). He has been the scientific coordinator and organizer of the five editions of the Belpasso International Summer School on Environmental and Resource Economics. His competences and his scientific research interests cover different fields of the economy of the environment and natural resources, and of the extreme. It deals with: economic evaluation of environmental and landscape assets; economy and management of protected areas; assessment of the impacts of climate change on natural and agricultural ecosystems; economy of ecosystems and biodiversity; economy of natural resources; eco-tourism economy; environmental accounting and social welfare; economy of natural disasters; cost-benefit analysis; assessment of environmental damage; economy of the natural capital; economy of ecosystems and biodiversity; estimo immobiliare; land market analysis. He is author of over a hundred publications, indexed largely in the main citation databases. She is a member of the Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (AERE), the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EARE), the International Society for Ecological Economics (ISEE), the Estimation and Territorial Economics Center (CeSET ), and the Italian Society of Agricultural Economics (SIDEA), the Ebla - Silvia Santagata International Research Center of the University of Turin and the Ecosystem Services Partnership (ESP).

Selection Experiments and Contingent Evaluation Studies; models of demand for environmental resources for recreational purposes; evaluation and mapping of GIS services of ecosystems; estimate the benefits derived from the recovery of wetlands in the Mediterranean environment; development of meta-analysis of the value of ecosystems in Italy; Determining the efficient level of payments for environmental services; assessment of benefits for the protection of animal breeds of zootechnical interest at risk of extinction; forestry externality accounting in decision tools; biodiversity banking; public water resources; estimates of damage from natural disasters; estimate the impacts of climate change on agriculture and ecosystems; estimate of environmental damage; econometric methodologies for estimating real estate; real estate market analysis.
