Biography
Dr. Elena Tamburini has received his PhD in Applied Biocatalysis and Industrial Microbiology at University of Bologna (Italy) during the period of 1999-2001. She has also taken a Master in Sugar Technology at University of Ferrara in 2003 and an EMBA at School of Management (MIP)-Polytechnic of Milan (Italy) in 2013. Currently, she is working as temporary researcher at University of Ferrara (Italy). Graduate courses she teaches: Organic Chemistry, Chemistry of Sugars and Sweeteners, and Chemistry of Fermentations. Her research has included applied research in the agri-food field and renewable energy, in particular for valorization/reuse of agricultural or agro-industrial waste, use of microbial technologies for the production of industrial attractive metabolites in pharma and food sectors, development of innovative analytical approaches based on NIR spectroscopy and HPTLC technique. Based on this research and fellowship training, she has been an elected member of the Directive Board of Italian Society of NIR spectroscopy (2006-2015), a member of European Society of Sugar Technologists since 2007 and the Secretary of Italian Society of Sugar technologists since 2005. She is serving as expert Reviewers for several scientific journals in the field of industrial biotechnology and bioprocesses. She has authored 44 research articles/books and 26 proceedings of international scientific meetings.Dr. Elena Tamburini has received his PhD in Applied Biocatalysis and Industrial Microbiology at University of Bologna (Italy) during the period of 1999-2001.
