Biography
Degree in History of Political Doctrines (January 1974); a check for a ministerial study at the Department of Philosophy in Florence (1975), research stage (with C. Bettelheim) at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris (1976-77); researcher confirmed at the Department of Philosophy in Florence (August 1980); Nouveau Doctorate at Paris III University - Sorbonne Nouvelle (June 1991); Trust in Philosophy at the Faculty of Science in Florence (1995-1996 1999-2000); Associate Professor of Social Philosophy at the Department of Philosophy in Florence (November 2001); Ordinary Professor of Social Philosophy (since 2004).
Research Interest
Critical theory of modernity, modern individualism, passion theory, female subject theory, gift theory, philosophy of care. In recent years, the theory of transformations of the Self and the social bond in the global age with particular reference to the individual-society-globalization.
