Biography
1990: Bachelor's degree cum laude in Civil Engineering, discussing a thesis titled "Monolithic Structures Submitted to Shadow Actions: An Application to Seismic Behavior of Monumental Works" 1996: Ph.D. in Structural Engineering Research with a thesis titled "Studying Allied Actions on Structures Through Their Simulation". During the PhD, she spent four months at the Cornell University - Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, conducting research activities in the field of simulation of stochastic processes in collaboration with prof. Mircea Grigoriu, in particular on numerical models for the simulation of earthquakes and wind storms on wide-ranging areas.
