Biography
Marina Piazza has been Associate Professor since 2004, confirmed for SSD M-EDF / 02 of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Florence Professor of Teaching Technique and Didactics of Individual Sports in the Degree in Motor Science Teacher of Theory and Methodology of Training in the Degree in the Sciences of Motors Teacher of the History of Physical Education and Sports in the Degree in the Sciences of the Motors Teaching Staff of Individual Sport Training in the Specialized Degree in Science and Technique of Sport . Member of the Selection Committee for the award of the Ph.D. in "Disciplines of Motor and Sports Activities" - at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Bologna. Member of the CONI Regionale Toscana Board Since 1997 is National Technical Director of Rhythmic Gymnastics. With this position, he has been responsible for the planning of the National and International Teamwork for the Olympic Team preparation of the Italian Team by G. RITMICA (Sidney 2000 Olympics, Athens 2004 (silver medal), Beijing 2008), London 2012 (medal bronze)
Research Interest
His interest in the study of skeletal muscle abnormalities in high-level athletes (lumbago and posture), whose study was the subject of an "ISICO Award" award for research in rehabilitation of patients with vertebral pathologies (year 2006), and on the deepening of the coordinating aspects in the learning of sports. In addition, the development of study protocols already validated in relation to the evaluation of sports performance in elite athletes and the research: "Evaluation of static and dynamic posture control in achieving peak performance" allocation of funds formerly 60% has judged fit and Marina Piazza is responsible. In 2007 he started collaborating with the project of the Neurophysiology Research Unit of the Institute of Medicine and Sport Science of CONI Servizi (Scientific Director: Prof. Fabrizio Eusebi, La Sapienza University, Rome) and FGI (project " SchermaLab "). concerning "Brain Processes and Sports Gesture in Elite Athletes"
