Biography

Piero Baglioni holds the Chair of Physical Chemistry of Dispersed Systems and Interfaces. He has studied and taught at prestigious foreign laboratories such as the Department of Chemistry at the University of Houston, the Weizmann Institute, the Collège de France, the MIT is the Director of the National Consortium for Large Systems Interface Development (CSGI) ; He is a member of the Scientific Committee and is a reviewer of several international scientific journals and scientific committees of national and international organizations (HMI, Italcementi, FAST, European Science Foundation, National Science Foundation, HZB-Berlin etc.); he is coordinator of various national and European projects; he is a consultant for several Industries; He has been a member of several European Union commissions.

Research Interest

His patents concern the preparation of aqueous suspensions at high concentrations of particulate matter, the therapeutic and photodynamic diagnosis of tumors, the conservation of cultural heritage, the establishment of a new process for the treatment of textile industrial waste, the production of emulsions from Bio Crude Oil, the preparation of nanoparticles and novel nano-coatings via flame-spraying, magnetoliposomes for drug delivery and targeting
