Biography

 Prof. VIAROLI Pierluigi  is Full professor of Ecology at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Parma. He granted his PhD in Environmental Sciences, University of Parma. 1998-2001. Associate Professor of Aquatic Ecology at the Faculty of Sciences, University of Parma. He worked as Technical Assistant at the Department of Environmental Sciences, University of Parma; as Consultant Biologist on aquatic pollution and recovery for Italian Enterprises and Local and Regional Administrations and as Technical assistant, wastewater processing, Center for Animal Production (CRPA), Reggio Emilia, Italy.

Research Interest

 Primary production, decomposition and biogeochemistry in shallow water ecosystems; land-ocean interactions in the coastal zone.Other fields: hydrochemistry of Apennine lakes in relation to eutrophication and acidification
