Biography
Luca Perregrini was born in Sondrio, Italy, in 1964. He received the “Laurea” degree in Electronic Engineering and the Ph.D. in Electronics and Computer Science in 1989 and 1993, respectively. He joined the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Pavia in 1992 as an Assistant Professor in electromagnetics. Since 2004 he is an Associate Professor with the Department of Electrical, Computer and Biomedical Engineering of the University of Pavia, where he is also responsible of the Microwave Laboratory. Since 1995 he has been teaching courses in Electromagnetic Field Theory, Microwaves, Circuit Theory, Microwave Measurements, Numerical Techniques for Electromagnetics. He has been the tutor of several Ph.D. students and the supervisor of many MS and BS students. He has been a visiting professor at the École Polytechnique de Montréal, Québec, Canada in 2001, 2002, 2005, and 2006.
Research Interest
Numerical methods for the design of microwave circuits and millimeter waves (waveguide circuits, frequency selective surfaces, microprocessor integrated circuits, antennas), new materials and technologies, industrial and medical applications of microwaves.
